The National FFA Organization is for students enrolled in an agri-science course that promotes premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Founded in 1928, the FFA organization represents a large diversity of over 300 careers in the food, fiber and natural resources industry. We participate in many chapter, district, state and national activities. Some highlights include the National Convention in Indianapolis IN, Day on the Farm, State CDE's and State Convention at KSU. The FFA has over 7500 members in Kansas and more than 520,000 nationwide. Earn scholarships, awards, and money through a Supervised Agricultural Experience, and travel and have fun all while preparing for your future in various careers that can include animal science, business, plant science/horticulture and natural resources.

FFA was established in 1928 with the mission statement: The National FFA Organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The Seaman FFA agrees that this is where the FFA should be focused. We encourage students to be leaders in not only FFA but in any other school or community sport or activity. We encourage students to grow their knowledge through CDE (Career Development Events) and LDE (Leadership Development Events) events, while also hoping to push them out of their comfort zones just a bit as well by trying something new. Lastly, we encourage students to try out all possible careers that they might enjoy through our CDE's (Career Development Events) and our SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) program as well.
